Shelton baseball loses to Lyman Hall

Shelton baseball lost its season opener 8-3 to Lyman Hall in Wallingford on Saturday.

Shawn Smith drove in two runs and Spencer Keith had the other RBI to give Shelton three runs in the top of the first.

Anthony Steele had two of Shelton’s five hits.

It was 3-3 after five innings.

Each team made three errors.

Lyman Hall had four hits.
