The Shelton boys’ basketball lost 64-61 to non-league foe Pomperaug in Southbury on Wednesday.
The Gaels used a 22-12 run in the third quarter to open a 51-42 lead.
The Panthers answered with a 22-10 fourth quarter to improve to 1-1.
Jake Gigliotti scored 16 points, Vin DiFeo 15 points and Siomar Rodriguez 13 to lead Shelton, now 0-4.
Rodriguez made a trio of 3-pointers. Gigliotti had two treys and Ricky Feola one.
Arik Dagan had 31 points for Pomperaug. He made four treys.
