Shelton swimmers dominate

Shelton High’s boys swim team defeated Bunnell-Stratford, 93-68, and toppled Crosby of Waterbury, 84-34, at the Shelton Community Center on Friday.

Shelton earned first place in all but two events.

The 200 yard medley relay team of Reid Chavez, Hunter Wronski, Jack Marciano and Jack Wise won in a time of 1:46.15.

Wronski and Chavez followed with firsts in the 200 freestyle and 200 individual medley, with times of 1:58.15 and 2:10.36, respectively.

Jack Marciano won the 100 butterfly in 1:03.83.

Sebastian Musante was first in the 100 free, making his final touch in a time of 57.16.

Chavez captured first in the 500 free, in a time of 5:26.34.

The 200 free relay contingent of Marciano, Eni Stafa, Zack Johnson and Musante came in first with a time of 1:49.45.

Juan Carlo Rojo won the 100 backstroke in 1:06.78.

Wronski claimed the top spot in the 100 breaststroke, finishing in 1:04.88.
