UConn women's basketball program gets first Class of 2024 commitment

UConn women’s basketball received its first commit of the Class of 2024 Saturday afternoon. 

Five-foot-10 guard Allie Ziebell verbally committed to the Huskies through a post on Twitter Saturday afternoon. She captioned a photo of with a UConn-themed background with "Go Huskies #comitted."

Ziebell is the No. 5 ranked recruit of the Class of 2024 and comes from Neenah, Wisconsin.

She took an unofficial visit to Storrs in October during the program's First Night celebration. 

Ziebell was named to the 2022-23 Preseason watch list for the high school Naismith Award in the fall.
