Connecticut Taco and Margarita Festival is coming to Bridgeport this month with Ryan Cabrera as DJ

On October 15, the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater will host a day of delicacies just ahead of the Day of the Dead.

This year, on the ides of October, one can choose between iced or frozen as the 2022 Connecticut Taco and Margarita Festival comes to the Hartford HealthCare Amphitheater in Bridgeport.

Local taqueros like Little Pub, Crispy Melty, Liberty Rock Tavern, Tasty Yolk and more will be on hand along with seasonal margarita offerings ranging from sweet to spicy. And if your taste for tacos gets competitive, there will be a taco eating contest along with a chili pepper eating contest. There’s also a hot sauce expo for the causal capsaicin connoisseur.

The festivities kick off at noon on Oct. 15 with tickets starting at $15 for general admission. For $49, a VIP ticket comes with two margaritas, a t-shirt and early entry. And for $79 you get all that, plus an extra margarita and access to exclusive bars.

Local vendors will be on hand and guests can entertain themselves with live professional wrestling, face painting and guest DJ’s. Early-aughts singer Ryan Cabrera, best known for his single “On the Way Down” and a romance with singer Ashlee Simpson at the heights of their fame.
