The Greater Hartford Festival of Jazz is headed back to Bushnell Park this Thursday.

The annual festival has been on hiatus since 2019 but returns in full force with two days and four nights of free entertainment. These year’s festival sounds off Thursday night at 6 p.m. with a performance by the Hall High School Jazz Band and continues through he weekend.

Four-time Grammy nominated saxophonist Boney James headlines Friday. Spryo Gyra is back this year to co-headline Saturday night with The Average White Band. Manhattan Transfer closes out Sunday.

In addition to music, the festival features local food and craft vendors. There’s no seating, so be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chairs. Just make sure not to bring anything with a high back or tents that could block views. Pets are welcome too.

There’s no parking lot for the park, but spots are available around the park and in lots nearby.

Here’s a list of artists playing and when to catch them. Head to hartfordjazz.org for more information.
