The temperatures might be dropping but there are plenty of chances to turn the music up around Connecticut this weekend.

Friday, Oct. 7 — Greta Van Fleet, Ne-Yo and more

The neo-classic rock, Led Zeppelin-channeling band of brothers Greta Van Fleet will swing through Mohegan Sun Friday. The group is promoting its new album, “The Battle at Garden’s Gate.” Over at Foxwoods, multi-platinum Australian Yacht rock group Little River Band is playing the Great Cedar Showroom. The Premier Theater is hosting R&B singer Ne-Yo with Musiq Soul Child and J. Holiday.

Soundcloud rapper Trippie Redd will take the stage at the Total Mortgage Arena in Bridgeport Saturday. Over in Norwalk, the First Ladies of Disco — featuring members of the Weather Girls and Chic — are playing the Wall Street Theater. The 90-minute show is a tribute to soul and dance hits from the ‘70s, ‘80s and 90s.

And just over the New York state line in Port Chester, actor/musician Johnny Depp and guitar virtuoso Jeff Beck are playing the Capitol Theater. Depp has been touring with Beck since the end of his defamation trial against ex-wife and fellow actor Amber Heard. Beck and Depp released an album together titled “18” in July. It features two original songs from Depp and a host covers of songs by Killing Joke, the Beach Boys, Marvin Gaye, the Miracles, the Velvet Underground and more.

Sunday continues a weekend of big acts swinging through the Nutmeg State with Darryl Hall and John Oates performing at Mohegan Sun. Country star Trace Adkins is performing at the Warren Theatre in Torrington and Chilean singer Myriam Hernández is at the Palace Theatre in Stamford.
