The Nation's Weather for Sunday, October 13, 2019

An area of high pressure will bring dry and sunny, albeit

cooler conditions to the Northeast and much of the

mid-Atlantic tomorrow. The front that will be responsible

for this cooler weather will briefly stall over the

Southeast, and a weak storm system forming along the front

will trigger showers and thunderstorms from the Carolinas to

the central Gulf Coast. A large storm system spinning over

southern Canada will keep brisk and chilly weather locked in

across the Upper Midwest and western Great Lakes region. In

addition, a mix of rain and snow showers is forecast to dot

the area. Elsewhere, generally tranquil and seasonable

conditions will grace areas from the Central states to the

Plains and much of the West. Light winds across California

will aid firefighting efforts across the state.
